Automatic or Manual GPS Tracking
You can even set the GPT4G005COV GPS Tracker to SMS you when it becomes mobile! So leave it in your car, briefcase, or anywhere else! If that item is stolen or moved for any reason the GPT4G005COV GPS Tracker will sense the change in location and let you know via SMS. You can then track the item for retrieval.
You can also set a Geo-Fence so if the unit leaves that area you get notified. It’s as easy as that.
GPS Tracker Limitations
- SPEED is shown in each gprs data, but it is not accurate if the driving speed is less than 50KM/H and not consistent for10 minutes at least.
- Replies from the GPT4G005COV rely on your mobile phone provider with some being slower with their response times than others.

GPS Tracker Setup
The setup is very simple for this item, please see download icon for manuals, cheat sheet and other related doc. If you are having issues with your system please ensure you check these settings first:
- SIM has phone/text credit for SMS use and additional DATA credit for live polling.
- SIM does not have a PIN
- SIM does not have message bank
- SIM does not have text to message feature
This tracker use WCDMA/GSM network, and needs about 10MB-30MB data per month, we recommended a data package for the SIM card of that size or more.
- The default password for this tracker is 12345678
- Install SIM card: Pull out the long narrow rubber strip on the side of the tracker, you can see the SIM card socket, beside which, press the yellow button with a tool or pen and the holder will come out. Pull it out and put the SIM card in the holder and then push the holder into the tracker and push the long narrow rubber stopple into the tracker to cover the SIM card socket. Note: Before installing or uninstalling the SIM card, please power off the tracker.
- Visit & login the tracking platform www.999gps.net, to display current location, playback history tracking
etc., platform user name and password is the last 7 digital numbers of the tracker’s ID (the ID
is print on the sticker, for example ID is : 800201512345678, and then the user name is : 2345678, password
is :2345678). - To receive location via text, call the tracker SIM card number, after ring 3 times, the tracker will hang up the call automatically and send you the location details a few seconds later. You can also text the tracker to receive current location by texting “URL*12345678”
- To check tracker, send SMS “CHECK*12345678” to the tracker number, “CHECK” is command; “12345678” is
password; the tracker will send back information. The tracker will send back information including software version, ID S/N number, IP address, authorised phone number, GPS and GSM signal etc, normally this command is used to test the tracker. - To see current password, send SMS “CHECKPASSWORD#” to the tracker number, if the operation is a success, the tracker will send back the information “Password：12345678”; “12345678”is an example.
- To reset tracker to Factory Default settings, send SMS “FACTORY*12345678” to the tracker number.

The tracker will send back information “Set factory setting OK”, then the tracker will cancel all the alarm setting in the tracker, and also delete all the authorized phone number, delete the APN and GPRS username and password,change the tracker password to 12345678, reset the IP address, reset the system working
mode and the interval time, and so on.
*Free tracking is in relation to ongoing system costs excluding SIM, system will normally use around 30mb of data per month plus call and text costs depending on use.
