4MP 4 Camera DIY WIFI Security System
What a great little system, delivering 4MP images, wide view lenses, remote view, night vision and the list goes on. The recorder can handle up to 9 cameras, so you can easily add an extra 5 IP cameras, which can be wired or WIFI.
These take a little setting up, you will need to log into each camera first and set the wifi to your modem, then log into the NVR and add them. To do this, power up one camera at a time and plug into your network. The camera IP address is 192.168.1.168. Then go to WIFI config and connect to you WIFI. In the WIFI section set the IP address to something that suits your network and save. Do this for all cameras, once done, power up all cameras and they will connect to the WIFI. Then connect NVR and go to cameras and manually set each camera. The default passwords for cameras is admin/admin.
When selecting cameras, remember the rule of thumb, domes for under eaves and indoors, bullets for direct weather locations.
